Desserts with Dark Chocolate Nut Butters

In the last few months we feel like we've spent more hours in the kitchen that we did during the whole previous year. And nope, we're not complaining. It's amazing the kinds of things we've been making so we thought we'd share some of those ideas with you.

Banoffee Pie

This pie is one of our sins. Condensed milk is heated in the oven until it becomes Dulce de Leche. It's then poured over a base of biscuits (we used digestive biscuits because we didn't find Graham Crackers). Cover it with sliced bananas and some whipped cream. Serve with a drizzle of the dark chocolate peanut butter and you won't believe the combination of flavours in your mouth! Banana, Caramel, peanut and chocolate. Wow.

Dark chocolate cookies

If you can stop yourself from having the second cookie, you're our hero. These simple chocolate chip cookies are relatively simple to make because all the ingredients go in together (and we like that because we're lazy bakers). The only thing we do differently in this recipe is we reduce the cocoa we use a little, because the almond butter we use is the Happy Jars Dark Chocolate Almond Butter. You could also of course use our Unsweetened Almond Butter and add the cocoa powder in the given proportion.
